POST-CONSUMER PLASTIC RECYCLING
We offer community-scale post-consumer plastic recycling services, specializing in plant plastics such as PLA. At our Brooklyn Recycling Lab, we research and utilize lower-waste, higher-yield, microplastic dust-controlled processing methods while developing preparation techniques that ensure every bit of material can and will be successfully reused.

ABOUT

ReCreate Recycling Lab was founded in Brooklyn, New York, in April 2024.
We began as Trash Club Brooklyn, an inclusive, accessible coastal climate action group dedicated to intercepting and redirecting "un-recyclable" plastics before they entered landfills or local waterways.
Following the trail of plastic pollution led us into the world of community-scale plastics processing. We became the proud home of the Precious Plastic Brooklyn Community Point, connecting our local community to the global Precious Plastic movement, developing practical solutions for plastics that conventional recycling systems leave behind, and transforming waste into durable, useful products through transparent, community-based processes.
Today, we offer community-scale post-consumer plastic recycling and manufacturing services, specializing in plant-based plastics such as PLA. Through our post-consumer processing, we continue to research cleaner, lower-waste, higher-yield, dust-controlled processing methods while developing preparation techniques that ensure every bit of material can be successfully reused.
ReCreate offers guided climate action programs, sustainability workshops, and neighborhood collection points for hard-to-recycle plastics.
By combining education, local manufacturing, and transparent processing, we hope to empower individuals, organizations, and businesses to transform sustainability goals into impactful, everyday action.
